Katheryn A. Andresen

Katheryn A. Andresen is a partner in the law firm of Bonnabeau, Salyers, Stites, Doe & Andresen. Kate has experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating technology contracts. She also has extensive experience with trademarks, copyrights and litigation.

Speaking Engagements & Publications
Kate's book, "The Law and Business of Computer Software - Second Edition" is published by West Publishing in October 2007. Kate is a frequent author and guest speaker, both internationally and nationwide, on IT-related matters. Topics have included; Internet law, online contracts, ASP liabilities in license agreements, and hosting agreements. In addition, she was recently quoted in Minnesota Technology in an article on outsourcing.

Education
Kate earned a J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School, and a B.A., with honors, from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota. She has a master's degree in International Relations from Boston University and an advanced International Business Law diploma from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.

Memberships and Activities
Kate is the former Chair of the of the Minnesota State Bar Association's Computer Law Section. She is also a member of the ABA's Science's Technology Practice and Business Law Section, as well as its Cyberlaw Committee. She is also a member of the Information Technology Law Association. In 2004, she was designated as a "Rising Star" by Minnesota Law & Politics.
