Jen C. Salyers

Jen C. Salyers is a founding member of the law firm of BSSD. She advises clients in the areas of information technology law and privacy law and has extensive experience preparing, reviewing and negotiating IT contracts.

Speaking Engagements and Articles
Jen is a frequent author and guest speaker on IT-related matters. Topics have included "Business Associate Contracts Made Easy," "IT Services To Outsource or Not to Outsource," "Computer System Agreements: Tactics to Mitigate Risks," "Open Source: Friend or Foe," "Assessing Software License Agreements," and she is a contributing author to the treatise on the "Law and Buesiness of Computer Software, 2nd Edition."

Education
Jen earned her J.D., cum laude, from William Mitchell College of Law and her B.S. degree from the University of Minnesota where she was a member of the Phi Upsilon Omicron honor society.

Memberships and Activities
Jen is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association's Health Law Section and the Computer Law Section. She is a member of MIPLA and the Bluff Creek Women's Golf Association. She served as a director on the Alumni Board of the College of Human Ecology, and recently as a community action board member for the Workhouse Theater Company located in North Minneapolis.
